抄録: We have studied quantum-theoretical behaviors of electrons in three quantum dots system in which a one-dimensional space has been divided into three areas by two finite square-wall potentials. We have derived the conditions for the energy eigenvalues from the continous and boundary conditions that should be satisfied by the wave functions of this system. Because it has been impossible to find any solution from these equations analytically, we have calculated them by numerical analysis. And we have derived the wave functions in the energy eigenstates and decided the probability distribution of electron' s position. As a result, we have found that the electron states in three quantum dots system can be interpreted as two typical states where the electron exists in the central well or the one exists in the two outer-wells symmetrically. It has been shown that the so-called resonant quantum tunneling phenomenon is taking place. Furthermore, it has become clear that an electronic wave function spreads in the whole three quantum dots by the resonant quantum tunneling in the state with the energy which is common to three quantum dots.
